DepEd R2 ensures DCP functionalities,
monitors 40 SDO NV school-recipients
With the goal of improving the learning outcomes, teaching productivity and accessible services,
the Department of Education Regional 2 Office successfully launched the Joint On-Site DepEd Computerization Program (DCP) Monitoring on December 2-6, 2024 among forty schools in the Schools Division of Nueva Vizcaya.
This initiative aimed to evaluate the usage and implementation of DCP packages that were recently distributed to schools, as well as to address the challenges faced by schools.
The monitoring team consisted of dedicated representatives from various Schools Division Offices (SDOs), including ITOs Andrew Toribio B. Taaca (Cagayan), Jayson Joseph Babaran (Tuguegarao), Ricardo Cabugao (Santiago City) and Jonas Carlo Trillana (Batanes), together with SDO Nueva Vizcaya’s Technical working Group, Ezekel Garing (SDO ITO), Francis Linda (Supply Office Representative) and LRMDS Librarian Chester Cortez. Their collaborative efforts underscored a shared commitment to ensuring the functionality and sustainability of ICT resources in enhancing teaching and learning in SDO NV.
The monitoring team urged the school-recipients to ensure that ICT resources are fully operational and effectively utilized by the learners.
SDO-NV ITO Garing emphasized the significance of ICT in education, highlighting its crucial role in preparing students with 21st-century skills. He pointed out that integrating technology into teaching and learning not only boosts engagement but also equips students to face the challenges of a digital world.
This activity showcased DepEd’s proactive approach to enhancing ICT integration in education, fostering resilience, and encouraging innovation in schools throughout Region.
